How to Set Up Your Drag X3
Follow these steps to get your Drag X3 up and running. Remember — the device does not include a battery, so you'll need a charged 18650 or 21700 cell before you begin.
Step 1 — Insert Your Battery
Open the battery door on the base of the device and insert a fully charged 18650 or 21700 battery with the positive terminal facing up. Close the door securely.
Step 2 — Install Your Coil
Take the included PnP X 0.3Ω coil (or your preferred PnP X coil) and press it firmly into the base of the PnP X cartridge until it clicks into place.
Step 3 — Fill the Pod
Open the side-fill port on the PnP X cartridge and fill with your chosen e-liquid (50/50 or higher VG recommended). Leave 1–2mm of air space at the top, then close the port securely. Wait 5 minutes for the coil to saturate fully.
Step 4 — Unlock and Power On
Tap the capacitive touch sensor on the side panel to unlock the device. The screen will light up and display your current settings. The device fires automatically when you inhale — no fire button needed.
Step 5 — Choose Your Mode
In Smart Mode, the Gene.TT chip sets the optimal wattage for your coil automatically. For manual control, switch to RBA Mode via the settings menu. Use Eco Mode to conserve battery on lighter sessions.
Step 6 — Adjust Airflow
Rotate the top airflow ring to find your preferred draw resistance — close it down for a tighter MTL hit, open it fully for unrestricted DTL cloud production.

Is the Drag X3 compatible with older PnP coils?
The Drag X3 uses the PnP X platform specifically — it is not directly compatible with the original PnP coils from older Voopoo devices. PnP X coils are designed for improved longevity and leak resistance and are widely available.
How do I unlock the Drag X3?
The device uses a capacitive touch sensor — simply tap the sensor area on the side of the device to unlock it. It auto-locks after a few seconds of inactivity to prevent accidental firing.
Can I use the Drag X3 while it's charging?
Voopoo does not recommend pass-through charging (vaping while plugged in). The best practice is to remove the battery and charge it in a dedicated external charger, or use the USB-C port to top up when a spare battery isn't available.
